Authorship Criteria
The Brazilian Journal of Clinical Medicine and Review (BJCR) adheres to the authorship guidelines established by the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE).
To qualify for authorship, individuals must meet all four of the following criteria:
-
Substantial contributions to the conception or design of the work; or the acquisition, analysis, or interpretation of data.
-
Drafting the work or revising it critically for important intellectual content.
-
Final approval of the version to be published.
-
Agreement to be accountable for all aspects of the work, ensuring that questions related to accuracy or integrity are appropriately investigated and resolved.
Individuals who contribute to the work but do not meet all four criteria should be acknowledged in the Acknowledgments section.
BJCR requires that all authors declare their contributions and any potential conflicts of interest at the time of submission. This ensures transparency, accountability, and adherence to ethical publishing practices.
